Die Surface Treatment & Finishes

Surface treatment dramatically extends tool life, reduces friction and adhesion, and maintains part dimensional accuracy over millions of strokes.

TiN PVD Coating

Gold-colored, HV 2000+ hardness. Reduces friction by 40%, extends tool life 2–5×. Standard on precision progressive die punches.

TiAlN Coating

Superior heat resistance to 800°C. Ideal for high-speed stamping of stainless steel, titanium, and hard alloys.

DLC Coating

Near-zero friction, extreme hardness HV 3000+. Outstanding for copper, aluminium stamping and adhesion-prone materials.

CrN Coating

Excellent corrosion resistance and toughness. Preferred for fine blanking dies and tools handling corrosive or pre-coated materials.

Nitrocarburizing

Salt bath or gas — forms hard compound layer 0.01–0.03 mm deep. Cost-effective for medium-volume tooling.

Mirror Polishing

Ra ≤ 0.05 µm mirror finish on die cavities — critical for optical components and surface-critical parts.

EDM Surface Texture

Controlled EDM texture (VDI 12–36) on form and draw dies — managing material flow and lubrication retention.

Anti-Rust Treatment

VCI film, rust inhibitor oil, and desiccant packing for all exported dies — ensuring corrosion-free arrival.
